Why Sundays Are The Key To A Fantastic Week

Lazy Sundays are a common part of everybody's weekend, but what if they could be used to make the rest of your week easier? These 5 tips will turn the end of your weekend into the ultimate start to your week.

1. Make your to-do list for the week
All too often we arrive at work early in the morning, relying on coffee to make up for the sleep we didn't get, and wasting the first hour or two trying to get prepared for the rest of the day. Instead of trying to brainstorm your daily tasks when you're barely awake, write up your to-do list on Sunday! Going over the errands you need to run, tasks you need to complete, and appointments you have scheduled will  help you have a more organized week and feel prepared each morning when you start your day.

2. Meal prep!
Having a good, healthy meal every day with zero effort is an instant mood boost. Having it prepared will alleviate some of your daily stress, and having a quick healthy lunch on hand will give you the fuel to power through the rest of your work day. Meal prep helps you save money and feel great by keeping you from grabbing that heavy, greasy slice of pizza on your quick lunch break. Pick an awesome, healthy recipe like these chicken burrito bowls!

3. Plan your outfits
Sleep in for an extra few minutes each day by planning out your outfits on Sunday. We have all had one of those mornings where you have no idea what to wear, most of your clothes are dirty and you have no time to spare. By preparing your outfits on Sunday, you ensure that everything you need is washed, ironed, and ready to go when you get up in the morning. This will free up a few minutes for breakfast or an extra click of the snooze button.

4. Clean up your space
Start off your week on a good foot by cleaning your house on Sunday. Get all of your laundry done, wash all of your dishes, and clean clutter off of your counter tops or tables. Starting your week with a clean living space will make you feel more refreshed on Monday and eliminate the dread of heading home to an absolute disaster. Cleaning on Sundays also helps implement a personal cleaning schedule so that clutter and dishes don’t build up over time.

5. Get to bed early
Eliminate some of those Monday blues by showing up well rested. We all know that nobody actually gets 8-9 hours of sleep every night, but Sunday nights are the perfect time to catch up on some Z's to get ready for the week. Getting a few more hours of sleep will make you feel more prepared to be productive, give you more energy [so you can skip that second cup of coffee], and gets you ready to start your week off right.
