Become Organized Today

There are many benefits to be organized, benefits you probably didn't even know about. For example, being organized leads to better eating habits and sleeping habits. It also can lower your risk of heart attack. A more obvious benefit would be that it is proven to reduce stress.  It doesn't take hundreds of dollars worth of supplies or personal assistants to become organized. There are several simple steps you can implement today, to become a more organized person.

1. Do one thing at a time. Multi-tasking can be great but it can also make you lose sight of what you actually need to get done and only do a sub-par job.

2. Make a list of all the tasks you need to get done. Make sure that the tasks are achievable. Don't make tasks for yourself that you cannot accomplish.

3. Don't just take a mental note but also physically write down what you need to do. Our minds are incredibly powerful, but they also tend to forget things from time to time.

4. Take advantage of the now. Put things away now. Complete tasks now. Don't put off what can be done right now.

5. Make a schedule. Having tasks on a schedule with a practical time frame will make them more likely to get done and reduce stress.

6.Keep track on your mobile phone. We always have our phones on us. Put your schedule, tasks, and notes on your phone. That way it will always be with you and you will never forget what needs to get done.

7. Say no. When friends or family ask for your time but you know you have things to get done, have the power to say no. Sometimes you have to be selfish with your time and put yourself first.

8. Keep a whiteboard or chalkboard in your house. An easy-erase board will help you to keep up with your ever-changing life and goals.
