New Month, New Beginnings.

If you didn't get the chance to check your Calender, today is March 1st. Each new month proposes an opportunity to start fresh and recharge. Here's some tips and tricks to start the new month out right:

1. Set an alarm to remind you that today is the start of a new month. If you're reading this, then you already know it's the 1st of the month. But, you can still use this trick for the months to come. This may sound like an unnecessary task, but you would be surprised how easy it is to forget what day it is and to lose track of when one month ends and a new one begins. An alarm will help prepare your mind for what is to come in the new month.

2. Reflect on the past month. Journal all your past experiences. Look at what you've accomplished, what held you back, and what made you happy. Take notes and use these experiences for growth. See how far you've come and how far you'd like to go. Do more of what made you happy and less of what held you back. Let go of any negative energy that affected you last month and find out what will bring positive vibes to your life in this new month.

3. Write down your monthly tasks and goals. We all have long-term and short-term goals, write down the achievable goals you want to accomplish this month and the steps you can take towards your long-term goals. We also all have tasks we need to accomplish, whether that's completing a work assignment, shampooing the carpets, or finishing a school project. Stay on top of your tasks by writing them down on a calendar or planner.

4. Add something fun to your schedule. Seeing all the tasks you need to accomplish may put a damper on your mood and leave you feeling overwhelmed. Make sure to liven up your schedule with something fun like a lunch date with your best friend, a shopping spree, sports game, Netflix binge session, etc. It's important to always have something to look forward too on your calendar.

5. Keep track of what you've achieved. When you accomplish a goal or task, make note of it. Looking at all you have achieved, will push you to keep going and give yourself a sense of accomplishment. Decide on something to "treat yourself" after every accomplishment. Your "treat yourself" could be anything from a frappuccino at Starbucks, a long walk by the beach, or a night out on the town.
